Festival of Outdoor Learning May 2016

Check it out, doing a bit of willow at the Festival of Outdoor Learning in April, very exciting!

Lucy Bell from Growing Wild – will be giving a workshop on creating mini willow domes!

Learn to work with willow, one of our ancient heritage trees of Ireland. It is the most adaptable plant and can produce a living; vibrant structure that children engage with on many levels. Participants will work in small groups to create a mini-willow dome, which would suit a woodland or any play, school, or outdoor setting. The session will teach the basic techniques of how to work with willow, how to weave a living structure for outdoor spaces, where to source it, when to plant it and how to care for your structure long-term.
