CRUINNIÚ NA NÓG – CREATIVITY IN THE WILD JUNE 2019

What a glorious day in the woods with a host of children and young people aged from 5 to 13 years old. In the morning we had the younger children come in, and we made a variety of Forest School crafts, such as woodland pendants and in the afternoon, we had the adolescents come in and create the most amazing pieces of nature art, weaving in a wood nail natural weaver and making dream catchers really wanted to support adolescents coming into the woods and getting creative, and this day achieved that. It was a wonderful day in the woods had by all!

Cruinniu na nÓg, a day to celebrate and encourage participation by children and young people in culture and creativity in their community. The Forest school workshops took place at Castletown House, in the woodlands right beside the house.
