Creativity in the Wild – Cruinniu Na Nog June 2018

We ran a lovely day in the woods, working with groups over the course of the day, allowing the children to decide what they wanted to get involved with, allowing lots of free play and creativity. We had a carousel of activities on offer to the participants, and lots of freedom just to hang out and play in the woods.

We called the event – Creativity in the Wild, a day of Forest School themed workshops, and it was part of part of Cruinniu na nÓg, a day to celebrate and encourage participation by children and young people in culture and creativity in their community.

We had a sister programme also being run by my colleague Ciara Hinksman down in south Kildare in Mullaghreelan Woods.
