BIODIVERSITY WEEK EVENT MAY 2019
We held a successful workshop for Biodiversity Week at the John Sullivan Resource Centre, Clane, on how to develop your garden or community space into a pollinator and wildlife haven by introducing a variety of native habitats. We brought together a host of local experts on biodiversity, habitats, and pollinators, local bee expert Jim Wyse, and butterfly expert Pat Bell, and me, Lucy Bell. The speakers spoke about the importance of creating native habitats and planting plans for pollinators in any space from small to large in your own garden or in your local community, from the perspective of bees, butterflies and creating native habitats.
This event was supported by Kildare County Heritage Office, who also supported our work at the John Sullivan Resource Centre. Find out more about what our heritage officer does here. And on Facebook here.
