Courses on offer

Forest School

Growing Wild is an is an experienced Forest School leader and trainer and is an Associate Trainer with Circle of Life Rediscovery CIC.

Growing Wild runs an ongoing Forest School after school programme at Castletown House in Celbridge, Co. Kildare. We work with small groups of children aged 5 to 12 years in a woodland setting.

We assist with facilitating the OCN Level 3 Forest School Leadership Training for adults, teachers, and educators in Wicklow.  

We run summer teacher training for teachers in conjunction with Kildare Education Centre.

Growing Wild runs courses in introductory Forest School experiences for adults, teachers, and educators.

Horticulture & Food Growing

Growing Wild runs sessions in community garden design and set up.

We offer courses in seasonal food growing, seasonal garden activities such as sowing seeds, setting up your vegetable beds, soil & fertility and seed saving.

Biodiversity & Citizen Science

Growing Wild works to teach people how to create simple habitats for wildlife

We teach people how to plant a small woodland, create wildflower meadows, wildlife ponds and planting native hedgerows to increase the biodiversity of their own garden or a community or special purpose garden.  

Living Willow

Growing Wild has worked as a décor coordinator for years on festival projects and in creating community living willow projects.

We also run practical workshops on the use and creation of living willow work.
